Description
I received these Arteza Watercolor Brush Pens about a week ago. At first I was a little intimidated. They are watercolors after all and watercolors aren’t the easiest medium in the art world. I doodled a little and then found a couple of videos on line showing how other people handle them. Now I’m hooked. Gather up some good watercolor paper, the pens, a few regular brushes, a big glass of water, and a picture you want to try your hand at. Have fun and remember it’s only paper.
Here’s my first attempt. I’ll play with it a little more, but it’s almost finished.
My only slightly negative observation is that the color displayed on the brush pen is not necessarily the color you get when you put it to paper. I was surprised when the green I started with for the background washed out to a turquoise. But then, being flexible and open to the happy accident is part of what makes doing art fun.
